Turritis glabra (Tower Mustard)

Order Brassicaceae, Family Brassicaceae, Genus Turritis

Also called Arabis glabra and Tower Rockcress, this mustard is not common in our area. It enjoys full sun and grows in meadows and open woods. At first I thought it was invasive and began pulling it. I was horrified to find it is native and I was destroying it. Its synonym is Arabis glabra.

Here is a group of Tower Mustards acting like invasive plants. These are growing along a local trail, and, if I didn't know what they are, I would have maligned and destroyed them.
